Bleak to start, but I would have to say getting hit by a car. An answer in two parts:<br />

1. The community. The way my new community came to my aid the day after when I was still in the hospital still makes me emotional. Some people knew me for 2 weeks sharing, donating, and offering help with financial and logistical coordination! It was my first time feeling the love and support of a community that genuinely loved and cared about me<br />
<br />
2. Since then, I’ve been taking life even less seriously. Sometimes I feel the world is gonna collapse because I have -$4 in my bank account and remember I got hit by a car going 20-25mph and survived. It’s not easy, no, but if I can make a joke in the ambulance to the hospital; wrist broken, one shoe missing, with a concussion, I can get an overdraft fee and make it out alive.
